What is UCEED?
UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of the Ministry of Education for admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) program at top institutes like:

UCEED Exam Pattern (Updated for 2025)
UCEED is a 3-hour computer-based test with two parts:
Part A (2 hours) – Online
- NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
- MSQ (Multiple Select Questions)
- MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)
Focus: Visual ability, spatial awareness, design sensitivity, analytical reasoning, observation.
Part B (1 hour) – Offline (Drawing Section)
- Tests sketching, visual communication, and design thinking
- This section is manually evaluated
Total Marks: 300
Negative marking: Only in MCQs
What is the Eligibility Criteria?
To appear for UCEED, you must:
- Have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (any stream)
- Must be born on or after October 1, 2000 (age relaxations for SC/ST/PwD)
- Can attempt a maximum of two times in consecutive years
